I am a little late on this post so it's a long one. We had a jam packed Christmas week. It was a blast and are so thankful to be able to spend our Christmas with our amazing friends and family. Our week started out celebrating Christmas a little early at Brad and Megan's since they were leaving town and wouldn't be here to celebrate with the rest of us on Christmas Eve. We had a great time and all of the cousins had a ball playing together.
The next evening was spent with close friends. Ed and Linda (Maureen's parents) invited us over for dinner and a visit with Santa and his elf. They invited several other families as well. It was so cute and special to see how excited all of the kids were when Santa rang the doorbell and showed up to ask all of the kids what they wanted for Christmas. Campbell and Ella are still a little scared of Santa, but they did pretty well. Thanks to Ed and Linda for including us on the special night.
We spent Christmas Eve with The Burgess side of the family. We went to Nana's house for dinner, drinks and lots of presents. We missed Brad and Megan, but had a great time with the rest of the family. Quinn and Will are so sweet to our girls and are so good with them. They are going to be the best babysitters :)
My parents spent the night at our house on Christmas Eve so they could see the girls open their presents on Christmas morning. Matt and Heather also came over to exchange presents and we all had brunch together. After brunch everyone went their separate ways and we met up again that night for more presents and dinner at my parents. This Christmas was so special because Campbell actually got it. She was so excited to see that Santa ate his cookies and drank his milk. We felt extremely blessed this year and can't wait to see what next Christmas brings.
