Madelyn's baptism

A few weeks ago we celebrated Madelyn's baptism.  It was such a beautiful day all around.  The weather was gorgeous, the service was so special and she was surrounded by her close family.  After the service we went to Bonnie Ruth's for a delicious brunch.  I will remember this day forever!

Madelyn's 1 year stats

I forgot to post these with her 1 year post and wanted to make sure I document them for our blog book.  Here are our little peanut's one year stats:

Weight: 19lbs 2oz (39%)
Height: 29 1/2in (60%)
Head: 17.3 in (23%)

She is by far the smallest Burgess girl.  She doesn't have a big belly or lots of rolls like the others girls did.  Campbell and Ella were always in the 75% in above for everything.  She is healthy as can be though and for that I am so thankful!

Ella's first soccer game

Last Saturday Ella, #6, took the field for the Candy Crush for the first time.  She has been asking to play soccer for a while and has been having a blast at practice.  Unfortunately, she cried for almost the entire game and complained that her tummy and throat hurt.  Right after the game I took her to the doctor and she tested positive for strep.  Poor kid was forced to play soccer in the heat with strep, #mommyfail.  She is now back to her old self and I am hoping she has a more enjoyable experience at this weeks game. Go Ella!

Campbell's first Cheerleading game

This past Saturday was Campbell's first cheerleading game.  She is cheering for the FFL Gators, and I am one of the assistant coaches.  We are having fun with it and I am loving all the extra "cheer" time I am getting to spend with Campbell.  The girls did awesome on Saturday and the Gators won.  These boys are goooood!  I am coaching with 2 of my girlfriends from Campbell's school last year, and their daughters are obviously on the team too.  This FFL shenanigans can get out of hand so us three ladies are just having fun and taking things very lightly.  I am looking forward to the rest of the season and hope Campbell continues to like it.

34

Eric and I both turned 34 in the past few weeks...not a very fun birthday I might add.  Creeping our way into the mid thirties is a strange feeling to both of us.  We still fee like we are 25, which is a good thing I guess.  On my birthday I spent the day with Maureen and Nicole at Stonebriar CC.  they had a mommies day out/back to school party at the pool with lunch, drink, shopping and a raffle.  It was the perfect way to celebrate!  That night we went out to dinner with the family at our favorite restaurant, Salsa.  For Eric's birthday we met for lunch, did some shopping then spent the evening swimming with the girls and eating pizza.  As a joint celebration Eric and I went to Capital Grill at The Shops at Legacy and spent the night at the Marriott right there.  It was fun little getaway and a fun way to celebrate us both turning 34!

St. Thomas- 10 year anniversary trip

In June Eric and I celebrated our 10 Year anniversary.  To celebrate we took a trip to the gorgeous island of St. Thomas in the USVI.  It was our first time to leave all three kiddos and it was definitely hard to leave, but we had the best time and it was a much needed vacation for both of us.  We laid by the beach everyday sipping cocktails, reading and eating delicious food.  We took a catamaran from our hotel to St. John one evening for dinner.  We ended up finding a little dive bar on the beach and spending three hours just talking and enjoying the beautiful view.  We got massages, ate the most amazing seafood, slept in, napped, snorkeled, and drank.  It was the perfect trip!

Frist day of school, 1st Grade and Pre-K

The girls started school a few weeks ago and have so far been loving their new teachers.  Campbell is now going to Fisher since we moved over the summer and is in the 1st grade.  She has not skipped a beat!  She is in class with on of her best friends from back in preschool, Grace.  Ella is now in Pre-K and is in class with all her friends again.  I cannot believe that she will be in Kinder next year...where does the time go?  Here are some first week of school pictures!
