18 months old

It is hard to believe that Campbell is 18 months old today. She has changed so much just in the last month. She finally started walking (better late than never) and is learning new words all of the time. Her favorite phrase is "What's that?" She says is all the time to just about anything. Also, over the last few weeks she has also started throwing tantrums. Eric and I were not quite prepared for this. It's like she just woke up one day and decided to start acting like a true toddler. Her fits usually occur when something doesn't go her way, but they can also just come up without warning. It has been interesting learning how to deal with this, but we are getting the hang of it with time outs and ignoring her when she is acting out.

Here are a few of the other things she is up to these days:

Clear words: mama, dada, Emma, Jack, mimi, nana, pa (for grandpa), what's that, moon, yes, up, dog, baa, moo, vroom, uh oh and I know there are more that I can't think of

Loves slides, the pool, boats, gymboree class, pushing anything, balls, riding on things.

She is still a picky eater

She is a clean freak. She hates being dirty and will pick things up off of the floor that aren't supposed to be there (such as dirt, dust, paper) and gives them to us. She also yells "uh oh" as soon as she sees something that needs to be picked up. It is really funny. We don't think we will every have to worry about her room being messy.

She has finally gotten on a good sleep schedule. She sleeps from 8 to 7 or 7:30 and takes one 2 hour nap during the day. I am loving this schedule right now and hope she sticks to it.

Happy 18 month birthday Campbell!!!!

Walking, Talking and Getting Frustrated

This video of Campbell totally cracks me up. It is such a good wrap up of what she is up to these days. She is walking everywhere (finally!) and starting to talk much more. She loves saying "Dad" and often walks around the house saying it looking for her daddy. It is so sweet. She also gets frustrated very easily when things don't go her way or she can't figure something out. You will see all of this play out in the video. Sorry it is sideways again, I have to stop taking video with my camera sideways.

House Pictures...finally!

Here are a few pictures of the front of our house. I just got around to taking them tonight. We are finally feeling settled and the house is coming together nicely. There are still many projects to be completed, but for now we are feeling good about the progess we have made. Enjoy!

20 wk appt

We went to our 20 week sonogram yesterday and got confirmation that we are definitely having a girl!!! We are so excited and can't wait to meet her. We took Campbell with us and she wasn't too interested in the sonogram. She was however very interested in the goo that they put on my stomach to do the sonogram :)

Our baby is growing right on schedule and they said that everything looks great! Such a relief. She is weiging in at about 13 oz! We feel so blessed to have one healthy daughter already and now another one on the way. I am going to post pics of the sonogram and try to get Eric to take a belly pic tonight so I can post them tomorrow.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July!!!

Every year we go up to Grand Lake in Oklahoma to spend the 4th of July with Eric's family. It is always a blast and a great time to catch up with everyone. Uncle Bob and Aunt Vicki have a beautiful house with an amazing view and have some fun water toys for us to play with as well. We spent two afternoons on their big house boat and one afternoon just playing with the waverunners. It was great to have all of the little cousins together and we got some great pictures of them. Quinn and Will are so great with their little cousins and Campbell and Peyton just love how entertaining they are :)

Chilling out on the house boat

Sitting like a big girl on Uncle Bob's plane. Don't worry we only let her sit by herself for the picture :)

Can we say Diva!

A Cheerleader in training

Meredith and I were out shopping with the kiddos a few weeks ago and this is how we found Campbell sitting in the cart. Pretty good toe touch! She might not look like her mommy at all, but maybe she will take after me on the cheerleading front :) I just thought it was hilarious that this is how she decided to chill in the cart while she shopped! She was wearing a dress however, so we will have to discuss the proper way that ladies sit in dresses when she is a little older. For now, it's still cute.
