Funny Campbell story

I am sure that some day Campbell will kill me for posting this story, but it's too funny not to share. Last night after bath time Eric and I were in Ella's room getting her ready for bed. Campbell was in the bathroom still naked with her towel on. You can see the bathroom from Ella's room so I got a front seat view to Campbell looking in the mirror, shaking her shoulders, laughing and saying "Look at my boobies...I have boobies!" She did this at least 3 times. Eric was mortified, but we both thought it was beyond hilarious. He asked me what we have been doing while he is at work and what I am teaching her. I can guarantee you all that Campbell has NEVER seen me do this...EVER! Who knows why she decided to do that, but it was hilarious!!!! Although, it might not be quite as cute and funny when she's 13 so I made sure she didn't see me laughing at her little show :)

Saturday at the Arboretum

Eric was out of town last weekend so it was a girls weekend at our house. I tried to fill the weekend with lots of fun outings and one of them included a Saturday morning visit to the Arboretum. It was actually pretty chilly when we got there, but luckily warmed up for our picnic lunch. The girls had a great time exploring the princess castles with very few people around. Later, we set up a blanket in one of the beautiful grassy areas and played ball, ate lunch, and ran around. It was a really fun morning with my girls, it didn't hurt that they were on their best behavior :) Here are some pictures of my girls...

Easter

This post is long overdue! We celebrated Easter a day early this year since Eric and I went to Vegas Easter weekend (I know, we're terrible). The girls loved the egg hunts and loved looking for where the Easter bunny hid their baskets. Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Still trying to wake up, but excited that she found her basket.

Campbell helped Ella find her basket

On the hunt!

Action shot!

Look what I found :)

Most of her eggs were filled with marshmellows...her favorite treat!

Ella just wanted to push her egg around :)

Muffins with Mom!!

This morning Campbell's school had "muffins with mom." Eric watched Ella so I could take Campbell on my own. I was very excited about our little breakfast date because I don't get to spend a lot of one on one time with my sweet Campbell anymore. Although my picky eater isn't much of a muffin fan, she chugged down two cups of orange juice. We are "cheersing" our juice in the above picture :) Campbell (and her teachers) made me an adorable picture frame for Mother's Day, which she gave me this morning. I LOVE it! It is my first homemade Mother's Day present and I will treasure it forever.

Fredricksburg

This past weekend we had a girls trip to Fredricksburg to do some wedding planning. Mom, Heather and I headed down there on Friday morning and arrived around 2:30pm. We checked into the hotel and then headed to Becker Vineyards, the winery where Heather is getting married. We did a wine tasting and then sat on their patio and watched them set up for a wedding taking place that evening. We were able to watch the bride walk down the aisle and got some great ideas for Heather's wedding. Saturday we spent the morning shopping and then went to two wineries and did some more wine tastings. Unfortunately, mom came down with a bug and had to spend the afternoon and evening in bed. Heather and I bought some more wine and then headed to dinner at a yummy steakhouse on the square. We had a great weekend and got some good ideas for Heather's wedding next April.
