18 months old

It is hard to believe that Campbell is 18 months old today. She has changed so much just in the last month. She finally started walking (better late than never) and is learning new words all of the time. Her favorite phrase is "What's that?" She says is all the time to just about anything. Also, over the last few weeks she has also started throwing tantrums. Eric and I were not quite prepared for this. It's like she just woke up one day and decided to start acting like a true toddler. Her fits usually occur when something doesn't go her way, but they can also just come up without warning. It has been interesting learning how to deal with this, but we are getting the hang of it with time outs and ignoring her when she is acting out.

Here are a few of the other things she is up to these days:

Clear words: mama, dada, Emma, Jack, mimi, nana, pa (for grandpa), what's that, moon, yes, up, dog, baa, moo, vroom, uh oh and I know there are more that I can't think of

Loves slides, the pool, boats, gymboree class, pushing anything, balls, riding on things.

She is still a picky eater

She is a clean freak. She hates being dirty and will pick things up off of the floor that aren't supposed to be there (such as dirt, dust, paper) and gives them to us. She also yells "uh oh" as soon as she sees something that needs to be picked up. It is really funny. We don't think we will every have to worry about her room being messy.

She has finally gotten on a good sleep schedule. She sleeps from 8 to 7 or 7:30 and takes one 2 hour nap during the day. I am loving this schedule right now and hope she sticks to it.

Happy 18 month birthday Campbell!!!!

John has yet to enter that toddler-tantrum phase yet either, but I think he is inching his way there. I have always bragged about it, but I think it is going to come back to bite me!

Love the cleanliness! How much more could you ask for? Altough, if she was at my house, I might get a little embarrassed about what she would find on the floor. :)
